There are a lot of Microwave Meals out there. And I mean a lot. I sometimes wish that I could try some of the vintage stuff from back in the 1950's and such but that will never happen. Alas!
I have been trying to find as many brands as I can by going to different stores in my area. I know that what I have in store for today is probably not new to some of you, but I had never heard of it until The Boyfriend threw it in our shopping cart.
So manly. Yes Nighthawk! I actually had this brand refereed to me last night. Lucky for them I had this puppy waiting in my fridge. I was going to have it yesterday but Michelina tempted me so.
Now The Boyfriend told me stories about how this was the frozen food of his childhood. I was more of a Bagel Bite/Hot Pocket kind of kid. And some kind of delicious Mexican Pizza. IDK what it was called, but I will find it.
Anyway, MEAT AND POTATOES! I feel like a REAL MAN! I just need to put on some FOOTBALL and FIX A CAR! Maybe after that I'll DRINK SOME BEERS! No. No beer's. I have work all day. I actually have some sewing to do today...SOME...MANLY SEWING!!!
Awesome replication of Box to Real Food here guys. I'm very pleased with this one. The only tihng that's missing is the herbs on the potatoes. They might be somewhere under all that almost-burned cheese. That beef patty was awesome. The gravy its floating in was not too gravy like, I'm not a gravy kind of guy (Say gravy again!). The potatoes were pretty decent. I tried a good portion of them and then smothered them in Ketchup. The Boyfriend nearly had a heart attack when he saw me eating them with Ketchup, "HOW COULD YOU?!" he exclaimed, "Those are GOOD potatoes WHY ARE YOU EATING THEM WITH KETCHUP?!"
Because I'm an awful.
So that was my MANLY meal for today. I really liked it, I'll probably pick a few more next time we go to the store.
